| ST. LAWRENCE SCHOOL ADMISSIONS INFORMATION FOR K-8 PURPOSE The mission of St. Lawrence School flows from the Church's participation in the mission of Jesus. As a hope-filled community with a responsibility to our students and their families, we are committed to promoting academic excellence integrated with a vision of life and learning centered in the person and gospel of Jesus Christ. KINDERGARTEN ENROLLMENT Children must be (5) five years of age no later than December 31, 2011. If necessary, the school will give preference to the older students within this age range. The registration process also includes a Kindergarten Screening. The screening takes approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. A specific time will be scheduled after registration forms are returned completed. GRADES 1-7 ENROLLMENT A copy of the latest report card is required at the time of registration. Testing may be deemed necessary after transcripts have been received. Each student will also be interviewed by the principal. Acceptance of qualified students will be on a space available basis. RECORDS A copy of the birth certificate, baptismal record and all other Sacraments received to date (unless received at St. Lawrence Church) is to accompany each application. All required health records must be submitted to the school no later than August 20th. By law, students may not be admitted to school on opening day if the required health forms and information are not received by the school. APPLICATION FEES There is a non-refundable registration fee of $25.00. REGISTRATION PROCESS Kindergarten parents are to return the completed application packet to the school. All kindergarten registrations after these dates are on a 1st come, and a 1st serve basis. Interviews for available openings in Grades 1-7 will be scheduled after the application packet is completed and returned to the school. NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE Parents of students entering Kindergarten are notified of their child's enrollment status after Monday, March 1st. A non-refundable tuition deposit of $250.00 is due no later than Friday, April 29, 2011. After that date, applicants on the waiting list will be accepted. Students entering Grades 1-7 will be notified of their status within (15) days after the final interview. A non-refundable tuition deposit of $250 is due by April 29, 2011.
